We just got a nice csl staff
excellent and non bias CSL staff
to illustrate it more clearly, there's a block's worth of distance between jack and samuel, as can be seen above. i think the ruling needs to be discussed again.
how position changes work. if jack had been on the same lap as me i would have had a higher position than him in that screenshot.
therefore, obvious overlap.
..... owait csl bias, sry forgot
i see we have some skilled architects in the mkw community
ye, i sat hours on that
why are we still trying to use no overlap
now that we can almost all agree it's clear jack was lapped, your move csl staff.
wZ will receive a -10 penalty for the bump on Samuel.
To further elaborate on why it would not be an overlap despite Samuel's video showing otherwise. Let's look back at this match here: http://mkboards.com/forums/threads/w8-xf-397-275-yt.20711/ . This match had an overlapping incident where XF Fox (who went tighter on the spiral) was in 1st on his screen [proving Jack could've had the same instance here] whilst the Eddy (ut's bagger) was ahead of Fox on his screen as well. This can be linked that in this instance both the bagger and the racer would be ahead of each other in which case, nullifies any potential claims of an overlap. In addition, it has also been seen that Jack sped up to 2-3 Funky lengths ahead of Samuel after a mini-turbo which means that Jack was in front of Samuel on his screen. Furthermore, one of the overlap rules clearly states that 'close encounters' would not be counted. This is way too close to call (even when you guys drew amazing graphics; props to that btw).
However, we have decided to give the penalty based on the fact that Jack wrongfully so drove in the line of the racers; comparing to Eddy, who drove wider than Fox to avoid being in his line. Thus, we've reached the conclusion to penalize wZ for the sole reason of the bump on Samuel.
Final Score: ωZ 383 - 339 μκ
