Would this site ever consider selling specially-customized T-shirts and other Knick-Knacks, as a way for the site-members to receive physical objects in return for their support of the site? Almost everything from T-shirts, Coffee mugs, wrist bands, bags, iPhone Cases, bracelets, xbox controllers, and much much more can be customized so that we can showcase our advertise, support and show our fanboyism for Mkboards to the general public.

I would definitely rather get a t shirt instead of a purple banner for supporting the site.

I was actually thinking of something like this, if someone would make a t-shirt with MKBoards Logo on it and something else MK8 related / mk series related, I'd definitely buy one

That's why they could also sell things like coffee mugs and xbox controllers, that the public would never see, although the T-shirts would be able to advertise this great site to the public!

There wouldn't be enough demand to cover costs of doing this.

But I want a cool coffee mug with Nyanko on it and a cool xbox controller. :((((( I want a cool t-shirt too :((

I mean, the idea is alright. why not sell karter coins??:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    jk

I suppose this is on the admins and see what they think about it. Although it will require a lot of spending of products (spending some money to design and place the MKB logo) and I'm not quite sure how many of the people that have signed up will actually buy any of it. Maybe they could be left with a lot of merchandise and there's also the shipping and international shipping (which can be overly expensive). If it will gain double, or triple, of the money they spent on any of the products, then it's a good idea but if it fails, then rip money.

Although, there are far better means of advertising. i.e the MKB twitch streamers. I can't think of anything else but that and watch the member traffic increase.

I'll look into it, but from reading it works like kickstarter so that might be an issue.

It does sort of work like kickstarter, but without the risk-factor of the Kickstarter host not being able to pull the product through to the backers. Plus this way would guarantee that the T-shirt only gets made/sold if enough people can support it( and the threshold that needs to be met can be set at your discretion).

T-shirts always seem to be the way to go, but I'd rather buy a coffee mug. Either way, it doesn't seem like a bad idea or a bad investment if the numbers add up.
