Hello there, everyone! As you may have seen in the past few weeks, certain things have been a bit strange, a bit different in terms of naming. Some of you may have been eagle-eyed and spotted the title of the registry, some of you may have spotted KD’s name on the Discord server, or some of you may have just been told by someone, but as of Season 8 the Custom Server League is going under quite a significant rebranding to become the Wiimmfi League. The original name, the “Custom Server League” initially originated simply from the fact that when starting up people were uncertain as to if the community would stay on Wiimmfi, or if it would have to move to another custom server solution. After 2 years of service, and with the inclusion of Wiimmfi now being the standard for channels such as the CTGPR Channel, we are convinced that Wiimmfi is going to be the mainstaple choice for a long period of time and therefore we have decided to rebrand ourselves based upon the server, therefore we are the Wiimmfi League. With this rebrand comes a whole lot of work for the graphic designers, from logos (which have already been designed as of this point), stream layouts for the Media Team if required, and potential for even more graphics to be made or edited for future ideas. Sabby is the designer of the logo you will see on this post, so thank you to her for all the hard work, and for putting up with all the nit-picky changes we’ve requested in the past few weeks. Of course, the rebrand isn’t just solely because we’ve chosen to dedicate the league to the servers that have served the community for the past two years - we have chosen to perform this rebrand at a time where the community needs a change, where the league needs to be able to meet the rising standards and the requests of all the players to make it convenient yet fair, and we believe that by rebranding now we will be able to have a fresh start and have the chance to show to you, the community, that we are willing to put the hard work in, in order to improve this league, and that we understand how valuable change is. We hope that the change will lead to positive opinions, and we hope that after we have spent some time in off-season we will be able to provide you all a league that you’re happy with, potentially with teams such as the Media Team being more active in terms of casting and reporting on events. In the end, we want this league to run as smooth as possible, with as little amount of penalties as possible, with efficient staff being able to make the league understandable for people at all levels of the community. Remember, we are looking for staff applications for effectively every role in preparation for next season, so please apply if you are interested. We have already made decisions and taken action on those staff who we believe needed to be given the opportunity to leave, and therefore we will soon start to look at these applications, ask questions, and make decisions on who to bring in so as we can establish next season’s managers for a few roles, as well as general guidelines for our staff. If you would like to apply or bump your past applications (if they are months old, of course not if you’ve only applied within the last few weeks), please do so in this section: http://mkboards.com/forums/forums/wl-staff-applications.240/ If you have any questions in regards to this change, the applications for staff or any other issues that may regard next season, please contact us either through Discord (our contacts can be found on http://mkboards.com/forums/threads/wiimmfi-league-staff-discord-contacts.17873/ ), or in this thread. Thank you for reading, thank you to Sabby for the graphics along with any others who assisted in the rebrand up to this point, and of course thank you to Wiimm and others for the servers in the first place, along with the ability for us to name our league after them. NeoRame also made the Wiimmfi logo, so credit goes there on original design.
